			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Each of the three libraries in the Union County Library System offer cardholders the chance to access their individual library accounts through the &#8220;My Account&#8221; feature.  To access your account you must first receive a “Patron or Alternate ID Number” and PIN, or personal identification number, from your home library.  PINs may be changed after the account has been activated.</p>
<p>Materials can be renewed online unless one or more of the following conditions exist:</p>
<ul>
<li>The card has expired or been blocked</li>
<li>The material’s renewal limit has been reached</li>
<li>The material is overdue</li>
<li>The library user has any unpaid fines</li>
<li>The material is on hold</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Public Library for Union County in Lewisburg, the Herr Memorial Library in Mifflinburg, and the West End Library in Laurelton are the three independent members of the federated Union County (PA) Library System (UCLS) that was created in 1998. Although residents may use any library they choose, Herr Memorial Library primarily serves residents of the Borough of Mifflinburg, the West End Library primarily serves residents of Hartley Township and the Borough of Hartleton, and The Public Library for Union County serves the remainder of county residents and is the system headquarters. Roberta Greene, director of The Public Library for Union County, is the system administrator.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<li>The Public Library for Union County, headquarters for the three-member federated Union County Library System, offers access to a wide range of materials, programs, and services.<strong> Located at 255 Reitz Boulevard in the Brookpark Farm development just west of Lewisburg, the library is regularly open from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.</strong> Due to state funding reductions, in 2011 the library will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesdays and will not be open on Sundays. <li>The library&#8217;s materials collection currently includes more than 100,000 books and over 5,000 audio-visual items such as books on tape and CD, music CDs, videotapes, and DVDs as well as downloadable audiobooks and eBooks.   The non-circulating reference collection features a variety of valuable resources, including a &#8220;Pennsylvania Collection&#8221; of many major genealogical and Pennsylvania history texts.</li>
