From its beginnings in the 19th century, to the famous ‘Hex Murder’ of 1928, learn how pow-wow, the practice of folk/faith healing, changed the ways in which Pennsylvania Germans were viewed. Presented by Commonwealth Speaker Candace Kintzer Perry, curator of the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center, Pennsburg. This presentation is a program of the Pennsylvania Humanities Council supported in part by National Endowment for the Humanities.
