Miss Kim and Miss Pat will show children how to plant seeds and take care of a garden, as well as enjoy games and activities that deal with gardening. At the end of the summer, a kid's garden party is held that features the vegetables that are harvested. Kids In the Garden will meet every Monday morning at 10 a.m. until August 4 or August 11, depending on when the garden is ready to harvest. Children can bring their own watering can if they like.

The movies will be family oriented but will vary with age interest. Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 will be shown on June 20. The movie is rated PG and is 89 minutes long. On Friday, June 27 the library will present Bill Nye Do It Yourself Science. This movie is not rated and runs for 26 minutes. The group will be doing a few experiments that go with the DVD after the movie. This program will continue every Friday for nine weeks.

Come to the library and see how many different sizes of bubbles you can make. Check out what kind of items can be used to make bubbles and learn about the science of a bubble. This program is for children of all ages. Preschoolers and toddlers may need adult assistance making the larger bubbles. Come prepared to get wet and a little messy. The program will be on the south lawn of the library.

Butterfly enthusiast and teacher, Jerry Schneider of Vermont, will present his slide presentation of butterflies and moths showcasing wing symmetry, defense mechanisms, and butterfly behavior including the remarkable monarch migration. Adults, families, and children of all ages are encouraged to join us for the afternoon. Children may bring their own plain white tees or purchase one from the presenter at a cost of $4.00 on the day of the program for a butterfly tee-shirt craft.

The movies will be family oriented but will vary with age interest. On Friday, June 27 the library will present Bill Nye Do It Yourself Science. This movie is not rated and runs for 26 minutes. The group will be doing a few experiments that go with the DVD after the movie. This program will continue every Friday for nine weeks.
